Our Juneteenth Film Festival is to honor Black actors/actresses, writers, directors and filmmakers through films that present compelling moral stories and educate on racism and Black history. The film festival is from June 14-18, showcasing a different set of films each day. Doors to the theatre open 30 minutes prior to the screenings.
Please note that some screenings are of archival films that may make use of outdated and offensive terms. Such offensive terminology is no longer used at the Stanton Center. These films are therefore a time capsule from a bygone era, presented in its original version, in the hope that it will help raise awareness, educate and generate discussion.
